Abigail's family of 6 was living in Abuja, Nigeria's capitol city. When her mother died of breast cancer in early 2020, the baby went to live with an aunt and the father moved with the older 3 children to his parents' home in Oke Ere, a small village near Egbe.

Abigail's grandparents farm ground nut to sell at the local market. Her grandfather recently passed away, but her father and grandmother continue to farm and sell ground nut. While in Abuja, Abigail completed two levels of Primary school. However, Abigail has not attended school since her mother's death.
