A concerned neighbor told Damilola and his mum about C.A.R.E. Africa. Damilola and his siblings were always out playing during school hours, so the neighbor advised the mom to ask C.A.R.E. for help. C.A.R.E. staff interviewed the mom and scheduled a home visit. The home was in a pitiful state; it was very old and the doors were barely holding onto the hinges. The house could have fallen down if shoved hard enough. C.A.R.E. found a new place for them; they now live in a better, rented apartment.
