Ife’s father is an alcoholic and abandoned her and her two brothers several years ago. Her mother is an amazing women who is really trying. She is a "hocker," or trader.  She literally will sell anything to support her family. She was paying for her rent and all three of her children to go to school. Due to the declining Niara rate in Nigeria, she hasn’t been selling like before. Ife was at risk drop out due to rising school fees. Ife is so smart! Her mom has worked with her and it shows. Her reading and math were on grade level and she is as sweet and active as her mother. She is thriving in C.A.R.E.'s school environment. Thank you for sponsoring Ife!
