Precious' mother, Sunday, gave birth at 16 years old. She dropped out of secondary school when she became pregant. The young father has since become a plumber, but neglects responsibility for his daughter. The mother has raised Precious on her own; she works as a day laborer at construction sites and plans to resit for WAEC, a general education diploma. Precious and her mother attend church together in Egbe.
