Samuel's father has two wives; Samuel's mother is the 2nd wife. In this culture, the second wife is not as cared for as the 1st wife. So she lives in a separate home with her two children. The father visits occasionally but does not assist the family at all. Samuel is a sweet, sweet boy. He was born with a condition that left him unable to walk. Physician missionaries offered an opportunity to him a few years ago, so his mother took him to the capitol city for a free surgery! Praise God, today he can walk and run and play!
Your sponsorship of $35 a month or $420 annually provides for Samuel's school fees, school supplies, uniform and sandals, small provisions and food supplies. A second sponsorship empowers his mother her with vocational training. She has some seamstress work experience and will be further trained in the C.A.R.E. seamstress program then set up with her own sewing machine.
