Victor is the last born of 3 children. His father is a farmer, but he is not currently working. His mother is a seamstress, but she can find little work. The family of 5 live together in a rented 10x10 room. This family is a case of severe poverty. They live in Oke Ere, a town about 30 minutes from Egbe. This town is very rural with only 2 schools and 3 small churches. The education is very poor in Oke Ere. When Victor was 5 years old, he tested for entry into C.A.R.E. Africa and already he could recognize letters and numbers!
Students from Oke Ere require $49 a month, or $588 annually, which is more than the regular Egbe student sponsorship. The additional funds provide daily transportation for Victor to and from school and regular meals. He also receives one-on-one attention from a Special Education teacher to help him reach grade level.
Your sponsorship will make a difference in Victor's life!
